Thank You For Joining Us for Giving Tuesday, Nov. 30

Butte College and the Butte College Foundation took part in Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving on Tuesday, Nov. 30, along with thousands of colleges and nonprofits around the world.

“We are so proud of over 500,000 alumni who have attended Butte College,” said Lisa DeLaby, Butte College Director of Institutional Advancement. “This global day of giving allows our alumni to give back to help other students succeed. Donors can choose to donate to the programs they care about the most.”

Any donation to the Butte College Foundation is tax-deductible, and donors are encouraged to show their BC Pride and donate by visiting madamejael.net/givingtuesday. Checks can be made payable to Butte College Foundation, 3536 Butte Campus Drive, Chico CA 95965.  Donors may give at any time, though Giving Tuesday donations were accepted until Nov. 30, 2021.  Staff were on hand at 3536 Butte Campus Drive, Student and Administrative Services Building, third floor, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. so donors can take photos with Dash the BC mascot or make a donation directly.

Show your BC Pride and consider donating to one of the following programs that help students:

• Promise Scholarship: Helps first-time, full-time students attend college for two years
• Emergency Student Fund: Helps students in an emergency crisis, in danger of dropping out
• Athletics: Support our athletic teams
• Faculty/Staff Program Grant: Donate to this new program which provides professional development opportunities
• Or choose your favorite BC program or scholarship to support today

Butte College Foundation matched up to $7500 for funds raised in the bold areas above, plus another match up to $3000 for the single winner of most funds raised for any other program or scholarship.  For more info call (530) 895-2359 or email foundation@madamejael.net
